APPLICATION:
1. It belongs to acidic preservatives and its effect is affected by PH value. In acidic mediums, mould, GNB and aerobic bacillus can be inhibited effectively.
it has special effect on aspergillus flavus but hardly on yeast.
  1. Used as cosmetic preservative with wide inhibiting effect on mould and saccharomycetes. Dosage generally not beyound 2%.
  2. Other uses as: pesticides, antimildew agent, masking agent in tanning.

PROPERTIES:
Transparent granules or crystals. Odorless or slight smell of propionic acid. It is easy to absorb moisture in wet air, soluble in water, slightly soluble in alcohol.
MP.: 285-286℃, water solubility: 995g/L(20℃)
